Time on my hands!

What a luxury :)

I finally finished my academic work for year one which is such a relief I can tell you! I have my placement to complete, which is 5 weeks then once my portfolio has been passed by the exam board I am officially a second year! and yes I am so pleased I made it this far...2 years of study out of 4 makes me half way already, and it has gone so fast! I fully intend to be a much more organised student next year (something I always promise) mostly because I haven't made things as easy for myself as they could be.

Mostly I am enjoying the freedom of no work to be completed, so I can read a book and not feel guilty. I have lots planned for my month off in August, mostly reading and hobbies. I have been hoarding books all year and my pile to be read is huuuuge. I have also got lots of photos to scrap so I will be busy!

I have lots of photos to add but I think I'll save them for tomorrow...

Forgot To Add This!!!

Oh my god what am I like - totally forgot to add this: Cannot wait to see it :)

Energy Drinks and Essays....

Pretty much sum up this week so far...
I have my final three assignments due at various intervals starting next week. Typically it's the week I am so tired all I want to do is sleep...
Thank good for energy drinks huh???!!!

I am also really annoyed that I want so many things: I need them all but the funds are zero at the moment: well they are always low but extra zero at the moment...It's the most frustrating part of my degree: the money. I am not entitled to a huge student loan due to my bursary: which is teeny tiny. I think in total my student finance is about £6K a year. How do I live? ha! I don't I guess plus credit cards + overdrafts...

This was particularly difficult to leave on the shelf today

I loved his first novel 'Shadow of the wind' and I expect this one to be as wonderful...No books for Carly :(

I also want this game

My joy at the platform being both Mac & PC was short lived when I realised the operating system it requires is the newest version which is just cruel. I literally brought my Mac a few days shy of the latest version and £80 for an upgrade is another big fat 'no'. So there you have it my dreams of playing the Sims 3 all summer is over...

I also want all the Gilmore Girls on DVD - I LOVE this programme so much, I have been watching the re-runs on E4 and I could just watch it all day everyday...Yes I do have a TV addiction but hey who cares I cannot be perfect you know!!!

In other very exciting news I am going to wash my hair tonight. Ok so the earth probably won't move but we shall see how much the colour changes... so here is the before picture....

Over and out peeps x

Enjoying June [So far]

It's been hot, hot, hot!
I went to the hairdressers to get my hair dyed red, red again this morning. It's darker than last time mostly for longevity, so a less vivid red, more like a cherry red. Expect to see every shade of red for a while!

I called my sister to see if she was revising for her A-Levels, and she kindly told me I could interrupt her with a visit. My mum was home as well which was cool so instead of going straight home to do my essay, I took mum to the local farm shop and garden center ;)

It was such a gorgeous place, they have extended within the grounds to include a restaurant and a marquee for functions, mum politely informed me it would make an ideal wedding venue: shame I'm not getting married - and don't have a groom but I will keep it in mind!!!

My favourite part of the day had to be the strawberries... they were grown on the farm and probably the most tasty strawberries in the world - quite literally!

Last Day of May

Yesterday was my friend's Gemma's Wedding - it was a such a lovely day. We went to Rochester for the ceremony which was lovely. We then went back to her parent's house for a BBQ evening, it was gorgeous =] Her parent's/friends had made the garden look so pretty. Good food + Pimm's made the evening perfect.

Today has been a good day weather wise so the bunnies have enjoyed the sun! I wanted to capture the action so here is another collage

I have been busy [not doing my essay] in the garden, why are they so much work? We have brambles which are a force to be reckoned with, you cut them all back and then whoosh they are back?! I don't think I will ever get them completely gone..

Creative [Escape]

Creativity pretty much took a backseat when I returned to full time study. Ironically I made more time when I worked full-time. I now read creative blogs for my 'fix' and sigh over all the things I wont be making. I would love to squeeze in an hour a day - but I seem to lack the motivation to spend so little time making a mess. I am an all-or-nothing gal afterall. I don't even take pictures anymore.... Geez so what do I do????

I don't know!!!
  • I always micro blog now on Twitter, I gave up for a while - Now I don't care if my life seems boring!
  • I seem to watch way more TV than ever - mindless relaxation.
  • I seem to read more books on Anatomy and Midwifery than ever = less books for pleasure.
  • I have a little part time job in the University library.
  • I tidy my house - a lot and it still looks messy.
  • I Do go to all my lectures, I think this is where I am going wrong - people seem to skive off way more than I do...

When it Rains

On a bank holiday I feel better sitting indoors doing 'work'.

Yesterday was so sunny, the bunnies enjoyed sunbathing - sadly I was inside reading all about Neonatal Thermoregulation - what a glamourous life.

This past week I have:
1: Changed my hair colour.

3: Worked in the Uni Library.
4: Got through the first week of classes.
5: Blogged twice!
6: Twittered too much.
7: Written too few words in my essay.

London, London, London

Last night was our little excursion to London. My friend is getting married in June (one of the many, many wedding's I have been invited to this year) so we celebrated her exit from singledom with a fitting Hen Do!. It was a really lovely evening, we got a coach to Embankment and had a drink in a lovely 'local' pub. The tourists don't really 'get' Hen parties, we got lots of questions, stares, and even photos!
We then took the "Old London" down the Thames which was fab! I love London and have never been on the Thames which is shocking really!

18 Years Young

3468259913_699a1d4aca_b

How can this babe be 18???

We celebrated in style with a day trip to London. She had no idea whatsoever that we had booked her tickets to see the show "Dirty-Dancing". It was fairly amusing when she announced (the night before) that she "Couldn't be bothered to go to London...." took some fairly strong persuasion from her big sister that she DID in fact want to go....

We had a little wander around Covent Garden, had a Cosmopolitan *yummy* with lunch and then we hid the tickets under her drinks - she was mucho pleased.

The show was awesome, I can highly recommend it, I came home on a total high and proceeded to watch the movie!! Total DD overload.
